If you need to edit a citation (such as to remove the author or year from the in-text citation or remove one citation from a group of several), click on the citation, then click on Edit and Manage Citation(s) from the Endnote toolbar.Ħ. This may not be instantaneous if you have many references, you will probably first see a generic citation that looks like this: for a short while before the formatted citation appears.

EndNote will embed the citation in the desired format and append the bibliographic reference at the end of the paper. Select the one(s) you want to use and click Insert.Ĥ. If the accession number/unique identifier does not transfer to the ILLiad form with the rest of the information about your article, you can copy and paste the number into the PubMed/Medline Unique Identifier box on the form (the box can also be used for identifying numbers from other databases).
